When I am not reviewing movies, or making movies I like to take photos. Over the years I have traveled with my family to a few places in the United States, and I would always have my camera to be ready for an awe inspiring moment at anytime. here are a few photos that I have taken with a brief description about the picture it self.
"Swim At Your Own Risk"
This was a picture I took a few years ago at Bar Harbor, Maine. I took this photo thinking that some day it may inspire me to make a film. I felt that there are a few stories I can make that relate to this photo:
For example, a group of college students journey to Bar Harbor, Maine for spring break. One night they were celebrating "a little too much," and one person gets the idea to go swimming. The next morning, that person is gone, and no one knows where he/she left. But as they search for him/her, one by one everyone starts to disappear. The answer to the mystery, lies within the mysterious bay.
Okay, I'll admit that sounded really cheesy, but hey, it's a start. See if you can come up with a better story (I guarantee you can.)
Whiteface Mountain
I love mountain climbing. Whiteface Mountain was the highest mountain I have ever climbed in my life (not including the driving halfway up it because that doesn't count). I wanted to take a picture of the landscape to remind myself how high I climbed, and low and behold I found the sign that told me. It was luck I climbed on a day when the sky was partly cloudy, and Lake Placid can be seen the way it was. This photo really makes me feel like I have accomplished something.
"All Are Welcome"
I'll admit that I am not a very religious person (I'm just a little bit), but when I was in Cape May, New Jersey a few summers ago, I saw this St. Mary's Church, and thought "You know, she looks like she's asking me to go inside." After finding the right angle to take the photo, I decided that in order for the shot to work I would need Mary's profile, with the hand motioning towards the door as if to say "All are welcome to come in."
Sunset
I was sitting outside of my cottage one evening watching the sunset, and thought "wow this looks beautiful! The light over the water is just perfect." So I decided to whipe out my camera and made sure that the horizon was near the bottom of the picture, and that the silhouette of the other cottages were just to the lower left so that the main focus was the sunset, and the sun's reflection over the water. I do wish that we could see more of the light reflecting off the water, but this was the best shot out of 30. I'm personally proud of this picture, because of the golden look the sun is creating as it is setting.
In Conclusion
I hope you all enjoy these photos, I wish there were more to show. Hopefully I will be taking more pictures over the coming years for you all to enjoy.
